We are proud to be one of 167 chapters of the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund. Our chapter was founded in 2010 by a small group of students interested in Animal Law and has now grown to over thirty members.We provide Animal Law resources which are available to all students including guest speakers in the field, information about internships, as well as research materials.
Our goals as an organization are to:
- Promote awareness of Animal Law
- Form a database of contacts, internships, and job opportunities in this field
- Bring in speakers to educate students about Animal Law
- Promote Animal Welfare through volunteer and legal research programs
- Create an Animal Law course at Washington University Law School
- Partner with other student organizations to promote public interest programming
